Pinto beans cooked with onion, garlic, thyme, pigtail and coconut oil topped with a sunnyside egg and homemade pepper sauce (red onion, cilantro, habanero pepper, vinegar and lime juice).
I have been reading your blog for a couple of years. I first found your post when I was looking for some belizean recipes. I was missing the coconut rice that my dad used to make and my stepmom's buns. Thank you.
You describe the homemade pepper sauce which I can't seem to find a recipe for online. It's the pepper sauce that you get on the side of the road that's probably been sitting out for a while but tastes amazing. I'm guessing the ingredients are what you describe- does anyone know a recipe I could folllow for habanero sauce that includes chopped (not blended like most recipes call for) habaneros, onions, vinegar, etc.?

ReplyDeleteThis looks deliciously decadent. I will make an attempt, thanks for posting it.
