Pinto beans cooked with onion, garlic, thyme, pigtail and coconut oil topped with a sunnyside egg and homemade pepper sauce (red onion, cilantro, habanero pepper, vinegar and lime juice).
I have been reading your blog for a couple of years. I first found your post when I was looking for some belizean recipes. I was missing the coconut rice that my dad used to make and my stepmom's buns. Thank you.
·Support your farmers' market: buy fresh Organic produce that is grown locally. ·At a supermarket: purchase local and Organic options whenever possible and ask the store manager to stock them. ·Buy: Organic, free-range dairy, meats & soy products. They taste better & you avoid the hormones, GMOs and un-natural treatment of the “conventional” stuff. ·Eat with the seasons: don’t buy asparagus in August or strawberries in January. They won’t taste very good and will have been shipped thousands of miles.
